Elvis Takes Boosbeck by Storm
15th April 2021
The Committee decided to welcome a mascot to the Village Hall, and as Boosbeck's logo has a cow on it, we thought it only fitting to have it as a cow.

The cow explored the village of Boosbeck, and had their photo taken with different iconic local places, for example, the church, the park, the shop, etc.

A competition was held on the Facebook page to name the cow, and with over 65 entries, it was the Committee's job to narrow it down. After a lengthy discussion, it was decided that the cow would have a first and second name. Boosbeck Village Hall's Cow is now and forever officially known as Elvis Milkshake.

With the help of the Committee, Elvis held a Milkshake Delivery Night at the Hall, as a fundraising opportunity. As restrictions were still in place about being inside public places. The Hall offered a Covid-safe delivery system, and where possible those making orders were to pay contactless. We managed to raise over £100 for the Hall.

Guisborough Morrison's heard about what we were trying to do, and kindly donated some items which would help us raise some much needed funds. So thank you to Morrison's and their Community Champion, Mandy Shutt.
